Like a candy store for adults, Instagram-sensation Yolkin is the new kid on the block in Chinatown – having just opened in April. Self-taught baker and macaron-lover Sammie Le sells her colourful egg-yolk ice cream either in scoop or wrapped in macarons. Born to Chinese-Vietnamese parents and raised in London, Sammie created a series of flavours which cater to both Asian and Western taste buds: two big hits are lychee rose and a vegan pandan coconut. Unlike other ice-cream shops, Sammie makes her ice cream with egg yolks left over from her macaron mixture. There are also several interesting drink-inspired flavours, such as HK milk tea, Milo and Earl Grey.
